Meet Jay Mosquera.
I am Jay Mosquera, a multidisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles, California. Over the years, as I have worked across traditional media, television, film, and advertising, I have had the opportunity to practice my art in ways that are both creative and challenging. This is what I love. Here, I share the best of that with you—both my commercial and personal works. My professional experience is as diverse as my art. I was a Lead Animator at Mabsutoon Productions, a Character Designer at Holy Cow Animation, a Graphic Designer/Animator at Mosquera Multimedia, and an Art Director at Club Six Studios. Currently, I serve as a Senior Concept Artist and Designer at The Walt Disney Studios, where I have worked on various concept art, storyboards, character designs, graphic designs, and animations for the company's Technology and Marketing division. I have also participated in Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality projects such as Disney Movie Insider’s “Make A Friend” AR Experience (Pixar’s Toy Story 4), Marvel Studios' Eternals: AR Story Experience, Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and the Winter Soldier AR experience, Disney and Avatar: “Keep Our Oceans Amazing” (Virtual Pandoran Ocean Creature Creator), and Disney Plus + Apple: Vision Pro sizzle (WWDC 2023), among others. As a freelancer, I have consulted with companies and clients on designing and producing both commercial and personal projects. My style blends Realism, Fantasy, Surrealism, and Pop Art, resulting in a distinctive look. My work has been exhibited across Asia, the Middle East, and the United States.
